Sarah Doucette
Sarah’s concern for safeguarding the environment and communities near her home prompted her to join NCABC’s leadership at its founding in 2008. She has served in several board roles in the intervening years.
With her husband, Roger, Sarah lives in Whitefield, NH. Given their large family’s abiding love for the region and for North Country recreational activity, the work of NCABC continues to be compelling and inspiring for both of them.
Sarah’s professional life spanned the printing industry, nonprofit development work, and a long tenure teaching yoga in North Country towns and academic settings. She has served on the boards of schools, an innovative mental health residence, and the Forest Lake Association. A bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of New Hampshire and advanced teacher training certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, comprise her formal education.
