Welcome to the website of the North Country Alliance for Balanced Change (“NCABC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The Site provides information about NCABC’s mission, environmental advocacy efforts, educational resources, events, volunteer opportunities, and related activities.
The content is offered for general informational and educational purposes only.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise noted, all content on the Site—including text, graphics, images, logos, videos, and layout—is the property of NCABC or is used with permission. NCABC reserves the right to restrict access to anyone engaging in misuse.

We strive to provide accurate, timely information about environmental issues, local concerns, and NCABC activities.
However, information on the Site may change over time, and NCABC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content.

NCABC:

  • Is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices
  • Does not endorse any third-party viewpoints or products

NCABC’s practices regarding personal information—such as volunteer sign-ups, email lists, donations, or contact forms—are described in our Privacy Policy, as the same may be updated from time to time.

9. User-Submitted Content

NCABC has no obligation to monitor user-submitted content. However, NCABC reserves the right to review user-submitted content and to remove any user-submitted content in its sole discretion. NCABC does not control or endorse user-submitted content and, therefore, NCABC specifically disclaims any liability with regard to user-submitted content. If the Site permits comments, messages, or form submissions, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for the content you submit
  • You will not post defamatory, illegal, or harmful material
  • You will not upload files that contain software or other material protected by intellectual property laws (or by rights of privacy of publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents.
  • You will not upload files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer.

  • You will not conduct or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, or chain letters.
  • You will not harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including email addresses, without their consent.
  • NCABC may remove user-submitted content at its discretion
  • NCABC may terminate your ability to submit content at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.
  • By posting, uploading, inputting, providing, or submitting any user-submitted content, you are granting NCABC permission to use your user-submitted content in connection with the operation of the Site including, without limitation, the rights to: copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate, and reformat your user-submitted content and to publish your name in connection with your user-submitted content. No compensation will be paid with respect to the use of your user-submitted content, and NCABC is under no obligation to post or use any user-submitted content you may provide and may remove any user-submitted content at any time at NCABC’s sole discretion, as set forth above.

10. Termination/Access Restriction

NCABC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NCABC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and third parties, for any losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) relating to or arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, any user postings made by you, your violation of any terms of these Terms and Conditions, or your violation of any rights of a third party, or your violation of any applicable laws, rules, or regulations. NCABC reserves the right, at its own cost, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will fully cooperate with NCABC in asserting any available defenses.

12. Changes to Terms

NCABC may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The “Effective Date” at the top of the page will reflect the latest revision. . The most current version of the Terms and Conditions will supersede all previous versions.

Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in New Hampshire in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Site. Use of the Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
